Hello again,

I saw this idea on a website and thought it would be fun to try! Alright, I'm going to give you clues about some aspect of our subjects. Say, for example, the answer is a Schema in Logic, or the word Silva in Latin, I'll describe it and you try to guess the answer. (If you have a guess, post a comment below to see if it's right! If you can't guess, and need more clues also leave a comment and I'll try to help you)

Fun Facts about South America (Challenge A)

Here are some Fun Facts about your new continent, South America.

South America is the fourth largest continent. It covers an area of 6,885,000 square miles. The whole are takes up 12 percent of the Earth's land surface.

Half of the continent is covered in rain forest, the other half is mainly prairie grasslands.

The Amazon river is 4,000 miles long, the only river which is longer is the Nile river in Africa.

The Andes Mountains form the longest mountain chain in the world. It stretches more than 4,500 miles, along the west coast of South America.

The main tourist attraction of South America is Machu Picchu. More than 300,000 people climb to the site every year.
 The jaguar is the leading member of the Amazon wildlife, and is the largest wildcat living in the Americas.

The most popular sport in South America soccer.


Since 1968, Kourou, French Guiana has been the home of the rocket launching pad of the European Space Agency, because of it's spot by the equator.
